A Look Back and a Look Ahead

A very happy New Year to all of our friends, colleagues and patients!  I’d like to take this opportunity to reflect on the past year and to give you a peek as to what the future brings for OneWorld.

2013 was a year of tremendous growth!  We completed the expansion at the Historic Livestock Exchange building creating a campus and are all settled in.  We also opened a new clinic in West Omaha that  cares for hundreds of people in a part of the city that most don’t associate with having a lack of access to medical care.  With this development, we’ve added jobs and are caring for more people than ever before.

We opened another School Based Health Center at Bryan High School and the Learning Community Center moved to the bright and colorful new space that once housed the South Omaha Library.  We formed new partnerships and operate a clinic, Crossroads to Health and Recovery, in partnership with Community Alliance.  The progress is exhilarating and there is no denying the important role that your support played in these achievements.

As we look forward to 2014, we can expect continued growth as we further our mission of providing quality health care to everyone, with special attention to the underserved.  We have plans to open another OneWorld clinic in Northwest Omaha in March and our main clinic at the Livestock Exchange will be getting a re-fresh to improve patient care and update the look of the clinic.  Again, thank you for your continued support of OneWorld!
