Milagro Speaker has inspirational message
The 10th Annual Milagro Dinner and Auction will be November 14 at the Historic Livestock Exchange Building Ballroom. The theme this year is “A Day in the Life” and will feature keynote speaker Richard Montañez, a Pepsi-Co Senior Executive who rose from the position of janitor after pitching a new flavor idea for Cheetos. A silent auction sponsored by local businesses will take place during the social hour before dinner.
The community leaders who will be recognized for their contribution to OneWorld’s mission are Dr. Daniel Dietrich (posthumous), Dr. Charles Filipi, Dr. Jonathan Fuller, Ruben Gonzales and Methodist Hospital.
Keynote speaker Richard Montañez leads Multicultural Sales & Community Promotions across PepsiCo’s North American divisions. Richard started his PepsiCo career at Frito-Lay in 1976 as a janitor in its Rancho Cucamonga plant. He is recognized as the creator of the ‘Flamin’ Hot’ line of products including Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, which influenced future ethnic products and the first Frito-Lay Hispanic marketing team.
Richard is known for his visionary leadership and ability to develop new systems and products. Throughout his career, Richard has accomplished several notable achievements and awards. He was recognized by Hispanic Lifestyle magazine as one of the most influential Hispanic’s in corporate America, has been featured in News Week and Fortune 500 magazine.
