On Thursday, February 5th, OneWorld Community Health Centers, Inc. will host a four-hour event to assist those who still need to enroll in health insurance through the Marketplace. The event will take place at OneWorld’s Historic Livestock Exchange campus in the Livestock Ballroom from 3:30-7:00pm, and is designed to help Omahans secure enrollment in a health care plan before the Affordable Care Act’s February 15th enrollment deadline.
“Enrollment in health insurance is the first and most vital step to ensuring that individuals and families aren’t left with a significant financial burden tied to basic medical care,” said OneWorld CEO Andrea Skolkin. “Our team has been working to help secure coverage for thousands of Nebraskans since open enrollment began in November 2014, and this is another excellent opportunity to have experts help answer any questions patients might have.”
Bilingual Medicaid and Marketplace enrollment experts will be present to help attendees go over all of their coverage choices, as well as representatives from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to assist with additional enrollment options. Tax professionals will also be on-site to explain any discounts or credits that are available to new or repeat enrollees.
