There’s never a convenient time to get sick, but when patients need care after normal clinic hours or on weekends, OneWorld’s two Quick Sick urgent care clinics are here for them—no appointment needed.

Both the Quick Sick clinic at our Livestock Exchange Building campus and the Quick Sick clinic at OneWorld Northwest (4229 N. 90th St.) offer immediate treatment for minor medical issues. OneWorld Northwest also offers urgent and walk-in dental care during normal business hours.

According to Nancy Luna, OneWorld’s Quick Sick HA/MA supervisor, affordable same-day care is a needed service for OneWorld patients.

“Quick Sick is available for walk-ins, so it’s really convenient and fast,” she said. It gives patients convenient access to unscheduled medical care when they are ill. Patients love that!”

Having two locations allows patients to choose the clinic that is most convenient for them when they are feeling under the weather, and having designated walk-in clinics reduces wait times for all of OneWorld’s patients.

“The two Quick Sick clinics can help lower the number of sick visits…at the main clinics,” Luna said. “It helps patients with the convenience of walking in when they are ill  and being seen right away. You receive good-quality care that’s efficient, fast and affordable, and we’re open seven days a week.”

Luna said that she and her team recently had a memorable experience with a 19-year-old patient. The patient initially came into a Quick Sick clinic to be seen for bruising, but OneWorld Quick Sick staff members were able to quickly recognize a bigger problem and offer needed assistance.

“The patient was seen on a Sunday and had labs drawn the next morning,” she said. “The patient was then diagnosed with acute leukemia and was admitted and referred to oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. OneWorld followed up
with the patient, then Behavioral Health was involved to follow up for depression as well.  OneWorld also helped the patient’s mother contact their high school so they could work
on getting the patient homeschooled. The patient’s mother
was pleased that OneWorld helped.”
