Thanks to the generosity of The Rose Theater in Omaha, financial assistance is now available for OneWorld pediatric patients who are interested in attending fall drama classes at the Rose. Families who are interested in these theater scholarships can contact OneWorld’s parent resource coordinator, Tinisha Poitier, at (402) 502-8905 or at tpoitier@oneworldomaha.org.

In addition to offering scholarships for OneWorld patients, The Rose donated 50 tickets to their production of Disney’s Newsies— valued at $1,350–for OneWorld patient families who have children with special needs. Newsies ran through June 17.

The Rose’s partnership with OneWorld goes beyond financial assistance for patients, though; starting in July, the theater will also work with OneWorld to pilot the theater’s first workshop for Spanish-speaking families of children with special needs.

Many of our patient families would not otherwise be able to afford theater classes and tickets, so the Rose Theater’s gifts and opportunities allow those patients to experience and participate in performing arts for the first time.

For more information about fall drama class scholarships and the Spanish language workshop for children with special needs, please contact Tinisha at (402) 502-8905 or at tpoitier@oneworldomaha.org.
