OneWorld Community Health Centers is pleased to announce it was recently awarded $391,775 in grant funds from United Way of the Midlands. Thanks to the generosity of United Way donors, four programs will receive funding.

The International Center will receive funding for their work with refugees and the Quick Sick Urgent Care will be able to expand their hours of service. Patient Support Services will be able to increase the number of childhood immunizations and those eligible to enroll in Medicaid.

They will also be able to counsel more children about obesity and treat those with asthma. In addition, funding was received for chronic disease management for diabetes and high blood pressure.

United Way of the Midlands helps the most vulnerable in our community, and works on human service solutions that will benefit our metro area for generations to come. United Way connects people and organizations with a secure way to donate their financial support and their time, and connect them to a strong network of health and human service programs that help our neighbors build a better life for themselves.
