Alex Dworak, M.D.

Dr. Dworak serves as an inspiration to OneWorld’s staff and is committed to advocating for access to health care services among the low-income and uninsured population. Every day he goes above and beyond to give his patients the best quality of care and to let them know that he truly cares about their well-being.Dr. Dworak does this by giving his most precious commodity: his time. He thoroughly explains all that needs to be done for each patient and gives them the opportunity to make choices regarding their care. t Dr. Dworak takes time with his patients and makes them feel like they are his only patient of the day. His ability to listen has made him a role model in our clinic.
Dr. Dworak is an exceptional example to future medical practitioners, and he mentors and trains students through OneWorld’s residency program. In addition to the time he gives his patients,
Dr. Dworak always makes time to give his undivided attention to colleagues who may have questions regarding their patients. He takes advantage of these times to teach and lends his expertise regarding plans of care.
Dr. Dworak is heavily involved in the community and participates globally in philanthropic endeavors in Guatemala, where he works with underserved patients to seek proper medical attention. His outreach services and financial resources can also be found at Cross International and Partners in Health. He is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Dworak earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Creighton University and completed his medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He served his residency through the UNMC Primary Care Program and Family Practice Program.
