There really are not words to express the appreciation and admiration for all of our staff as they have responded to Coronavirus pandemic. What they have accomplished in order to ensure that vulnerable children, families and adults get the care they need while protecting themselves and the community has been no small feat. Their dedication and drive shines, as they have risen to this unprecedented challenge and made our Board and me extremely proud.
In a very short time period, our clinics have implemented new procedures to take all possible steps to separate the sick from the well; don personal protective equipment; health care and pharmacy services car-side, new triage teams and adjustment to protocols for the scheduling of the appointments and tele-health we have made major adjustments. We also temporarily postponed some routine care and non-emergent procedures to allow staff and resources to be focused on our Coronavirus response. All of our testing and care has followed the ever-changing Centers for Disease Control (CDC) standards, prioritizing those who are at highest risk to develop serious illness. We have been on the front lines and taken numerous steps to “flatten the curve” and divert the community from visiting emergency rooms working very closely with Douglas, Sarpy/Cass health departments.
During this time of crisis, change, and unpredictability our staff is working to provide much needed care, connection, and healing. We welcome all patients with kindness and skill.
We are honored to provide health care and support services to our patients and in this great community.
