OneWorld Community Health Centers, a nonprofit organization that provides high-quality, culturally respectful health care throughout Omaha, will host its annual Back-to-School Bash on Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at the Livestock Exchange Campus, 4920 S. 30th St. in Omaha, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
OneWorld invites the public to attend this free event to learn more about the health care services the organization offers to keep families happy and healthy. OneWorld’s pediatric providers will be available at the event to provide free health screenings for children. During the event, parents and guardians may also schedule appointments for back-to-school wellness exams and physicals. The Back-to-School Bash will feature educational and fun activities for children.
The OneWorld Back-to-School Bash is part of National Community Health Center Week, an event that celebrates the contributions community health centers make through providing comprehensive, high-quality preventive and primary health care to millions of patients, regardless of their ability to pay or their insurance status.
“We are so excited to host this event for the community,” said Andrea Skolkin, CEO at OneWorld. “Every year we strive to reach more people to let them know about our wonderful services. We believe that everyone deserves the best possible health care, and our mission is to provide that to them.”
