Andrea Skolkin, MPA, CEO of OneWorld Community Health Centers is recognized as Citizen of the Year
“Ms. Skolkin’s passion to provide quality affordable health care for the low-income segment of society, has greatly expanded health care capacity over the past eight years from 9,000 to 35,000 patients and from one location to 13,” said Col. Rob Madden, president of the West Point Society of Nebraska and Western Iowa. He named Andrea Skolkin, MPA, CEO of OneWorld Community Health Centers as Citizen of the Year for her extensive work in establishing affordable health care and support services for low-income individuals, including veterans.
“I am extremely honored and humbled to receive this award. Our organization’s mission and values encompass those of West Point, including honor and respect for all people, service to the community and duty,” Skolkin said. “I work with a talented team of individuals and together we bring medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy and support services to the most vulnerable among us, who would otherwise go without care.”
Russ Quimby, vice president, presented Skolkin with the award during the Society’s Founders Day Dinner and annual meeting held at Kutak Rock on March 19th.
