Ian Mitchell

Family Medicine & Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Ian Mitchell is a board-certified psychiatric mental health and family nurse practitioner with 11 years of experience. He completed an undergraduate degree at Nebraska Methodist College, a master’s degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and a doctoral degree from Wichita State University. Dr. Mitchell also serves as a commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.

Dr. Mitchell works with children, adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns and life transitions. His approach is collaborative and patient centered. He believes mental health care works best when patients feel heard, respected and actively involved in their own treatment. Dr. Mitchell combines thoughtful medication management with psychoeducation and supportive therapy, always tailoring care to his patients’ unique goals and experiences.

With experience across outpatient and telehealth settings, Dr. Mitchell strives to make mental health care accessible, nonjudgmental and effective. Whether his patients are seeking clarity, stability or a fresh start, he is here to support each individual every step of the way.
