Patient Services

Moving through problems requires some heavy lifting, but Laura has a solid toolkit to help kids and adults process the tough stuff. She can provide:

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT): This is a structured way to help kids ages 3-18 tackle PTSD. It’s like a roadmap that teaches them how to stay calm, gets their parents involved for support, and eventually helps the child tell their story so it doesn’t feel so scary anymore.
  • Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI):Think of this as «trauma first aid» for kids and teens ages 7-18. It is used within the first month following a trauma to stop long-term PTSD from setting in. It focuses on quick symptom relief and making sure the family knows how to help.
  • Brainspotting: This is specialized therapy for adults that uses your eye movement to find where you’re «stuck.» By focusing your eyes on a specific point, it helps your brain and body release trauma, anxiety and depression that words can’t always reach.
  • Sand tray: This is «storytelling without words» for everyone. You use a tray of sand and miniatures to build a scene that represents your life or feelings. It’s a safe way to show what’s happening on the inside when it’s too hard to say out loud.
