We want to help you find a clinician that meets your family’s needs. Please use this guide to choose the pediatrician you would like to see after your baby is born. A OneWorld pediatrician will visit you in the hospital and assist you with your upcoming transitions as you adjust to life with a newborn.
About pediatrics at OneWorld

As OneWorld pediatricians, we value your new baby and your family. Our experienced team will look for ways to keep your baby healthy, and we will support your goals for your baby’s health and growth. In addition to providing newborn care, as your family grows, we are here to care for your children of all ages.

If you have questions or concerns about your child’s health, we’re always here for you. We offer:

  • A 24-hour nurse call-in line
  • A Quick Sick clinic that provides same-day care every day of the week—no appointment needed
  • Evening appointment availability
  • Same-day appointments
  • Pediatric clinic locations near you
  • Spanish-speaking clinicians and staff members
  • A personal clinician who provides continuity of care and gets to know you and your child over time

Parents and guardians can also talk with:

  • A therapist about parenting questions or problems with depression, anxiety or stress after the arrival of a new baby; and
  • Visit our WIC clinic to get help with breastfeeding, nutrition or attend a support group.

We accept most forms of insurance, Medicare and Medicaid. If you do not have insurance, we base our charges on a sliding fee scale.

OneWorld Bellevue

Emily Braun, MD
“I enjoy caring for children and teens of all ages. As a certified lactation consultant, I also have a special interest in caring for newborns and helping mothers with breastfeeding. As a mother of young children who have needed medical care, I understand how stressful parenting is. My goal is to partner with parents so they feel supported and listened to. I work at the Bellevue location, where we have a warm and family-friendly atmosphere, and you will be able to see the same doctor for every visit. I speak Spanish, and I’m available for mornings and afternoon appointments.”

OneWorld Northwest

Dave Levy, MD
“I work at our Northwest clinic, where I am pleased to work with families from all over the world. My love of world cultures brings me to many other countries, and I work closely with a group that helps keep newborn babies alive in Nepal. I speak Spanish, and I enjoy learning Nepali. I have a great team, and I am available for evening appointments.”

OneWorld West

Therese Hennessy, DO
“I have been a doctor since 1995, and I’ve worked at OneWorld for 15 years. I have been working on my Spanish since then! I love working with different families because each has a unique journey to health. Families may choose me because I was their doctor when they were young, and now they are starting their own families. I am available for morning and some afternoon appointments.”

Leah Jorgensen, APRN
“I have been at OneWorld for 14 years, and I love watching my patient families grow and have their own families. I am told that I have a great enthusiasm for my patients and their families. I have a special interest and experience in breastfeeding support. I speak Spanish, and I am available for evening appointments.”

Elizabeth Lehn, MD
“I have been practicing pediatrics at OneWorld for the past seven years. As the mom of three active kids and as someone who works full-time, I understand families. I work very hard to make clinical encounters fun for our patients and pleasant experiences overall. I am available for morning, afternoon and evening appointments, and I’m happy to work with your family’s desired time.”

Wesley Meyer, DO
“I like working with people from many different cultures, and when I meet someone from a new country, I will mark it on my map. People describe me as ‘friendly with a good sense of humor.’ I highly value safety and prevention! I speak Spanish, and I love learning words from other countries, such as Guatemala. I am available for evening appointments.”

Dara Ramirez, APRN
Dara Ramirez, APRN
“I am a certified lactation counselor because of my interest in newborn health and disease prevention. I am a native Spanish speaker, and patients say I am very approachable. I am available for evening appointments.”

Monica Toscano, MD
“I have been at OneWorld since I was in training as a doctor in 2006. I loved the mission and the team so much that, after training, I never left! I am told that I have a calm, low-key presence with families, and in my time here, I have seen families grow and have families of their own. I speak Spanish, and I am available for morning and early afternoon appointments.”

If you see a OneWorld pediatrician, you may also see these providers:

Tabitha Kabala, DO
One of my greatest joys as a primary care pediatrician is watching the children I care for grow up, to ensure they are developing well and meeting their milestones. Cultivating relationships with the entire family allows me to provide the best care possible to my patients. As a mother whose child required an extended NICU stay and surgeries in her first couple months of life I understand how challenging having a child with special medical needs can be. I am a breastfeeding advocate and ready to support new mothers on this journey even when it takes an unexpected turn.

Henry (Hans) Dethlefs, MD
“I love seeing children and taking care of families. I provide family medicine care for people of all ages. I have worked in Mexico, Honduras and the Dominican Republic, and I enjoy receiving patients from different cultures. I speak Spanish and have evening hours available. Patients say I have a calming presence and that I am a good teacher.”

Kris McVea, MD
“I see both adult and pediatric patients, and I like caring for whole families. I enjoy creating relationships with my patients over time. I speak Spanish. I travel to Huehuetenango, Guatemala frequently, and many of my patients are from Guatemala.”

Sarah Miller, APRN
“I have worked at OneWorld since 2002, and I love working with children and families. I want my patients to know I am here on this journey with them, and I am grateful they have chosen me to come along for the ride. I speak Spanish, and I am honored to serve in the South Omaha community.”
