Behavioral Health Therapist
Kathya Carvajal began her career at OneWorld as a behavioral health intern in 2022 and is now a licensed mental health therapist. Kathya greatly enjoys working with the OneWorld community.
Prior to beginning at OneWorld, Kathya spent three and a half years working with children with autism through Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). That experience shaped her deep appreciation for patience, empathy and meeting people exactly where they are. Her approach to therapy is collaborative and compassionate. She believes therapy works best when it feels like a partnership. Kathya aims to walk alongside her patient as they continue to work towards clarity, resilience and connection in their lives. Kathya supports patients navigating trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, anxiety and depression.
Outside of work as a therapist, Carvajal enjoys spending time with family and friends, which helps keep her grounded and connected. She also likes to play chess, watch horror movies and read.
