Behavioral Health

Mental health is influenced by many factors in our lives and affects our overall well-being. OneWorld’s experienced behavioral health therapists provide support and offer diagnosis, evaluation and treatment for every OneWorld patient at every primary care location, including our School-Based Health Centers.
Medical clinicians and behavioral health therapists work together to support and improve each patient’s health and well-being. That means psychiatrists consult with our medical and behavioral health clinicians and patient support advisers to make sure our patients receive the best care – including through effective assessment and evaluation, diagnosis, medication management and therapeutic services.
Our behavioral health services cover a variety of conditions and circumstances and include mental health care, assessment, counseling and therapy. Services are available in person and, if needed, via telehealth.
Programs
Traditional Behavioral Health Therapy
For individuals struggling with mental health, OneWorld offers traditional behavioral health therapy. Our traditional behavioral health therapists are experienced in helping patients identify issues that affect mental health and supporting patients in their journey to bettering their mental health and well-being.
Psychiatric Care
OneWorld offers comprehensive psychiatric care for people who are experiencing mental health conditions and may benefit from evaluation and medication management. Our psychiatric providers collaborate with other teams at OneWorld, including medical providers and other behavioral health providers, to arrive at a correct diagnosis and develop a treatment plan for each patient.
Collaborative Care Model
For patients with a OneWorld medical provider, the Collaborative Care Model is available for patients who have mental health concerns and are interested in receiving both therapy and medication management support. OneWorld medical and behavioral health clinicians regularly review treatment needs to improve the overall mental well-being of patients in an integrated model.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
We are proud to offer Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), a holistic, individually tailored program for patients struggling with substance use disorders. MAT combines behavioral health therapy and medication.
Substance Use Evaluation
A substance use evaluation is a formal, strengths-based assessment completed by a licensed professional to understand a person’s substance use, history and treatment needs. It helps clinicians make a diagnosis, determine risk of harm and make personalized recommendations for behavioral health services.
Substance Abuse Treatment
Outpatient substance abuse treatment involves regular therapy appointments with a licensed clinician to treat substance use disorders. The purpose of treatment is to improve symptoms interfering with a person’s daily life. Treatment typically begins with a chemical dependency evaluation (CD eval).
Social Supports
Social support workers collaborate with OneWorld medical and behavioral health teams to address all areas of life that affect health and well-being. The OneWorld social support team helps patients access basic resources, like food and housing, through our community network of support.
