Our clinicians are here to help you choose the best birth control method for your body and lifestyle. Every OneWorld clinic offers free contraceptives.

STI & HIV Testing

We are able to provide confidential sexually transmitted infections (STI) testing and treatment at most clinics and clinicians are able to counsel about prevention. We are also equipped to help you through the process of HIV testing and referral for treatment.

Everyone aged 13 to 64 should be tested for HIV at least once, as getting tested is the only way to know if you have an infection. To test for HIV, we take blood samples by finger poke or by a blood sample from your arm. If your results are positive, you will receive counseling about what to do next. Your clinician will work with you to make sure you receive the best possible care.

Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP)

If you think you might be at risk of contracting HIV, talk to us about pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP. PrEP is a pill that, when taken every day, helps people prevent HIV infections by working to keep the virus from establishing a permanent infection after exposure.

OneWorld is committed to making PrEP affordable and easy to access. As a community health center, we can offer discounted lab testing and appointments. Our pharmacy, located at our Livestock Exchange Building Campus, can help with medication assistance programs.

If you have any questions about starting to take PrEP, you can ask your clinician to meet with one of our clinical pharmacists. OneWorld has many clinicians who can prescribe PrEP.
