OneWorld spotlight

Grace Chu, LMHP.

Behavioral Therapist, Grace Chu, LMHP, joined OneWorld in October 2021 after working as a therapist in Intensive Family Preservation services and private practice. Chu graduated with her master’s degree in counseling with a focus on clinical mental health counseling in 2017, but initially started her academic career by earning her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.

“I’ve always enjoyed working with families, teens and individuals in the community,” said Chu. “OneWorld is a great way to discover the community we live in and appreciate it even more with every patient I meet.”

Chu is part of the School-Based Health Centers team. She provides behavioral health services in person and through telehealth at all of the OneWorld School-Based Health Centers and the OneWorld Medical Mobile Clinic.

“Working in a community with families and teens, especially in schools, connects to my core beliefs of the importance of showing compassion and caring for others,” said Chu. “So many in our community need our care, and I’m very proud to be part of this community-focused and caring team.”

Chu moved from Vancouver, Canada, to Omaha, Nebraska, in 2000. She is currently learning Spanish and Mandarin, and said she knows some Cantonese and French. In her free time, Chu enjoys spending time with friends, animals and eating out.
